About the Event
COMMUNITY, WE’RE BACK OUTSIDE 🥾✊🏿 Join The Saturday Hike Crew, BLK Events LA, and JoinLinks on Saturday, September 21st, at 12:30pm for a refreshing community walk through Jefferson Park in support of Radical Hood Library! Founded by rapper Noname, Radical Hood Library is a vital community space dedicated to Black liberation. They provide incredible resources & experiences, including library cards, teach-ins, game nights, and—of course—reading material for the homies 📚🖤
All of Radical Hood Library’s programming is FREE, and we are showing our appreciation through donations! After our walk, RHL will be hosting a special book giveaway—add new reads to your collection + sign up for a library card!
We’ll also be spotlighting other Black-owned businesses in the area, like South LA Cafe ☕️✨ RSVP is VERY limited—secure your spot NOW!
- How long are the walks? Walks are around 2 miles and taken at a leisurely pace.
- Where will we be starting? Our starting location will be disclosed after RSVP!

- Is this series family-friendly? Yes! Bring ya grandma, ya cousin, and ya baby!
- Can I bring my pet? Yes! Pet entry into the featured business is at their discretion, but they are welcome on the walk.
